The GED includes Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning Through Language Arts, Social Studies and Science. The subject tests can be scheduled separately. This lets a study plan prioritize a particular subject rather than assume every learner needs to begin with the same material.
In math, start with the point where a solution stops making sense, such as fractions, equations or interpreting a graph. For language arts, distinguish understanding a passage from explaining evidence in writing. Science and social studies also involve interpreting information, not simply recalling isolated facts.
Suppose percentages are the main obstacle in a math review. Work through a short example, explain what the percentage represents and solve a different problem without looking at the first solution. Record the step that needs another explanation. A focused practice block is more useful than filling a schedule that is impossible to maintain. This example is not a guaranteed preparation timeline.
